Why rent this one
It costs less
The mobility rental chains in Orlando start at $200 a day. This van is usually around $149, and longer trips come down further. Rates move with the season, so the Turo listing always has the live number.
No rental counter
Book it from your phone in a few minutes. There is no branch to find and no rental desk to queue at when you are already tired and managing a chair. Everything the booking needs is handled online before you arrive.
A person, not a call centre
You are renting from a local host rather than a national chain. If something comes up mid trip, you are messaging someone who knows this specific van, not a queue.
Built for the trips that are hard to plan

Visiting the theme parks
Orlando is one of the most accessible destinations in the country once you are inside the gates. Getting there is the part nobody plans for. Having the van for the week means no transfers in a parking garage and no waiting on an accessible shuttle that runs on its own schedule.

Family coming into town
A parent or grandparent flying in for a wedding, a graduation, or a holiday. Rent the van for the visit instead of rebuilding the whole trip around one vehicle.

A stretch of appointments
Rehabilitation, follow ups, or a few weeks of regular treatment. If someone in the family is driving anyway, having the van on hand is usually simpler and cheaper than arranging each trip separately.
How it works
-
Check your dates
Availability and live pricing are on the Turo listing. Orlando fills up around holidays and school breaks, and there is only one van, so book as early as you can.
-
Choose your pick-up point
Collect the van from our fleet headquarters at 9789 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, or from OMNI Airport Parking at 7640 Narcoossee Road, which is the one to choose if you are flying into Orlando International. Those two points are the only pick-up and drop-off locations, and you choose which one when you book on Turo.
-
Collect the van and go
Your host will meet you, walk you through the ramp and the securement, and hand over the keys. It takes about ten minutes, and you can message them at any point during the trip.

Questions
Is the van accessible without transferring out of the wheelchair?
Yes. The van is ramp equipped, so a wheelchair user boards and rides in their own chair, secured with tie downs. No lifting and no transfer required.
How many people can travel with the wheelchair user?
Five. The rear bench seats three and there are two seats up front. The middle row folds away to make the wheelchair space, so with no chair on board the van seats seven.
What size wheelchair fits?
Anything under 29 inches wide fits up the ramp and through the door opening. If your chair is close to that, or you are not sure of its measurements, message us the make and model before you book and we will check the width and the weight against the van.
Is this a self drive rental?
Yes. You book the van and drive it yourself, the same as any other rental. Global-Aid also runs a separate non-emergency medical transportation service, with its own vehicles and trained crews, if what you actually need is someone to drive. That is a different service and you can read about it here.
Can you deliver the van to the airport or my hotel?
No. Pick-up and drop-off are at two locations only: our fleet headquarters at 9789 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, and OMNI Airport Parking at 7640 Narcoossee Road, which is the one to choose if you are flying into Orlando International. We do not deliver to hotels, resorts or private addresses.
What is the minimum rental period?
Four days. The minimum is set on the Turo listing, so the booking page will not take a shorter trip.
How much does it cost?
Usually around $149 a day, and less on longer trips. Rates move with the season and with demand, so the Turo listing always shows the live price for your dates.
Do you serve the theme parks?
Yes, in the sense that the van gets you there and back. You collect it from one of our two Orlando pick-up points and drive it yourself for the whole trip. Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld are all a short drive from either point. What we do not do is bring the van to you: there is no delivery to the parks, to resorts or to hotels.
Is there a mileage limit?
200 miles a day as standard, which covers the theme parks, the airport and the usual runs around Orlando comfortably. The allowance is set on the Turo listing and the exact terms for your dates, including anything beyond the allowance, are shown there before you confirm.
What if I need it longer than planned?
Request a trip extension through Turo as soon as you know. If the van is free it is usually approved quickly, and if it is already booked we will tell you straight away so you have time to arrange something else.
Check the dates and book
If you are not certain the van fits your chair, message us before you book and we will check the measurements with you. We would rather answer the question than have you book the wrong vehicle for a trip that matters.
